    This workshop and training is best suited for parents/teachers working with children diagnosed with Autism, Speech Delay and related disorders, ages 2-6, verbal or non verbal.

    The workshop is based on Applied Behavior Analysis teaching techniques. ABA is an evidence based approach, and research has proven its effectiveness in teaching and supporting children with Autism.

    Participants will be provided ALL materials to start therapy at immediately home, and programs will be provided as well to teach :

9. Free staff and teacher training at SK Sri Damai
Free staff and teacher’s training at SK Sri Damai on Autism and Positive Behaviour Strategies was held on 11th April 2018.
10. EMBRACE AUTISM at Intermark Mall

Embrace Autism was held in Intermark Mall, KL from the 5th-8th of April 2018 in conjunction with Autism Awareness Month. This event was put together by DOME Malaysia, in collaboration with ABC (Autism Behavioral Center). This event brought together leading professionals that support individuals with Autism which provided free awareness and educational talks based on their specialties including how to identify autism, what is applied behavior analysis, how diet can support wellbeing and how to support kids with autism in a school setting. This was the first event of this scale to also offer on site free autism screenings.

11. FREE Autism Care Training with Ridz Okumura Salon Stylists

On 24th January 2019, a team of professional hair stylists from renowned celebrity hair & beauty salon, Ridz Okumura Salon attended an in-house Autism Care training conducted by none other than our Director, Ms. Charlene Marie Samuel.

As one of ABC’s official project partners in 2019, Ridz Okumura’s team will be providing FREE haircuts to children of ABC and public once every quarter of the year.

On 22nd January 2019, a group of educators & teachers from Straits International School – Rawang Campus had attended a Level 1 Behavior Management workshop by ABC on campus ground.

15. FREE Autism Care Training with Sunway Putra Mall Employees

ABC kicked off a series on training with our Project Partner, Sunway Putra Mall, from 17th to 19th December 2018. The training’s aim is to prepare the team of the mall, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, in transitioning as the first Autism-Friendly Shopping Mall in Malaysia.

16. Haircut by RidzOkumura Salon (11th March 2019)

ABC was very privileged to have renowned Malaysia hair & beauty salon, Ridz Okumura Salon, as one of its project partners for 2019. The salon will be providing FREE haircuts to ABC children and public children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for FOUR times this year.

11th March 2019 had kicked off the 1st of four series of haircuts inside ABC with the founder and Managing Director himself, Mr. Ridz Okumura in presence to provide his support to his team. Special thank you from all of us in ABC to Mr. Ridz Okumura and team for the amazing haircuts and Mr. Francis (A-Okay Boy FaceBook Page) for the pictures.

17. FREE Educators & Teachers’ Training with Kinderland Puchong Utama (15th March 2019)

Our Director had another opportunity to provide a FREE Educators workshop to the hardworking teachers of Kinderland Puchong Utama. As many as 15 teachers had been in attendance, learning on identifying early signs of autism and concluded with simple behavior management methods to use in the classroom.

18. Public Workshop (6th & 7th April 2019)

Around 60 participants attended the short workshop in ABC, presented by ABC’s external trainer on the topics of “Enhancing Your Child’s Engagement and Attention” on Saturday and “Alternative Strategies to Develop Your Child’s Communication.”

19. Public Workshop for Parents in Sunway Putra Mall (20th April 2019)

This free public workshop, opened to parents and educators, was generously hosted by Sunway Putra Mall & Parenthood Playland. Honourable guest speakers had been Ms. Chong Ling Chih (Board Certified Behavioral Analyst) who presented on “ABA in Educational Settings”. This is followed by Ms. Katyana Azman (Child Psychologist of Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur) and her presentation on “Challenging Misconceptions: What a Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder Really Means”. ABC Director herself, Ms. Charlene Marie Samuel had also spoken on the topic “Evidence vs Non Evidence Based Interventions For Children with Autism”

20. FREE Autism Screening @ Autsome Bazaar (26th to 28th April 2019)

Our Director had been on-site providing FREE Autism Screening and Consultations for parents in Sunway Putra Mall over the weekend. More than 35 parents booked the consultation slot online to get more information and advice on their child’s development or behavioral concerns.

21. FREE Educators & Teachers’ Workshop with Jack & Jill International Preschool (14th May 2019)

A group of dedicated teachers from Tadika Jack & Jill International Preschool attended the FREE Educators Workshop with much enthusiasm and zest. They had an amazing time learning on identifying early signs of autism and useful tools for simple behavior management methods to use in the classroom.

22. FREE Educators & Teachers’ Workshop with Kid’s Cove Bangsar (17th May 2019)

Despite it being a fasting month, a group of amazing educators from Kid’s Cove Preschool Bangsar stayed back after working hours to attend a workshop on identifying autism early in the classroom as well as simple behavior management methods to use in the classroom.

23. FREE Educators & Teachers’ Workshop with Legacy Private School (17th May 2019)

ABC was invited by Tadika Jack & Jill’s sister school, Legacy Private School to also conduct the educators workshop for their respective teachers. A group of more than 15 teachers had been in attendance, learning from our Director herself on the early signs of autism and supporting children with Special Needs in the classroom, including basic behavior management methods which can be applied to their students.

24. 13th Private and International School Fair in Kuala Lumpur (22nd & 23rd June 2019, MVEC)

For the first time, ABC has participated as one of the exhibitors at the bi-annual Private and International School Fair in Kuala Lumpur on the 22nd & 23rd June 2019 at Mid Valley Exhibition Center (Hall 2). Many acquaintances met and services shared to the public that made ABC’s first participation a memorable experience.

27. UKM students visit to ABC - learning and observation visit on 17th April 2024
  • Learning visit by UKM students to ABC

    We have two group of students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia visited ABC on 17th April 2024 (Wednesday). Total of 23 UKM Asasi Pintar students visited 13 students were at ABC Bangsar; and another 10 students at ABC Sunway Geo. These students are from Set 1 Program ASASI Pintar, Pusat GENIUS @ Pintar Negara.

    The main objective of the visit is to get expose to clinical fieldwork in ABC, to promote the understanding about autism and ABA therapy and it’s an opportunity for students to have hands-on experience in conducting therapy with special needs student.

    Our clinical team assisted them with a brief introduction on our services and what is Applied Behavioral Analysis in ABC. Followed by the workshop, the team have arranged the students to join the session to observe and grasp the basic idea of 1:1 therapy session. The visit end with some Q&A and photo sessions.

28. Autsome Launching event at Sunway Velocity Mall on 23rd April 2024

    April signifies Autism Awareness Month, observed annually on the 2nd of April. It has been a dynamic period for ABC, marked by numerous achievements and commemorations.

    Recently, Sunway Velocity Mall unveiled its “Autsome” initiative, which champions the notion that autism is indeed remarkable. This initiative serves to enhance awareness and promote inclusivity for individuals with autism, as we endeavor to foster greater acceptance and accessibility for this community.

    Sunway Velocity Mall has collaborated with Autism Behavioral Center (ABC), the exclusive training provider offering Inclusive Training Sessions for the mall’s frontline and tenant staff.

29. Collaboration event between Autism Behavioral Center x Cookx Asia - Inclusion Baking Event at 11th May 2024

In conjunction of Mother’s Day, ABC and CookX Asia stepped forward to organize an impactful inclusivity event. We explored the prevalence and the essential role of mothers in imparting life skills, and the challenges faced in accessing support systems. ABC, as Malaysia’s largest ABA centre, and CookX, a social cooking app, envisioned to create safe space for teaching life skills to the autistic community. This event was aimed to instill valuable qualities like patience and teamwork while addressing issues such as food waste and social integration which were successfully implanted throughout the event. ABC is looking forward to have more similar events in the future as a model for inclusive community.

30. ABC Annual Dinner 2023

The ABC Annual Dinner held on December 20, 2023, at Hotel Concorde KL, is all about bringing the ABC staff together for a glamorous wrap-up of the year. With the theme Masquerade and Glam, it’s a night to celebrate our achievements, teamwork, and growth in style. ABCians don elegant masks and chic outfits, reflecting the mystery and allure of the evening. This event is not just about glitz—it’s a moment to connect, reflect, and toast the success we’ve built together throughout the year. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the ABC family and gear up for the exciting year ahead.

Our Autism Center just wrapped up an unforgettable Halloween celebration, and the spooky fun was in full swing! 🎃👻 From creative costumes to exciting activities, the kids were all dressed up and ready to embrace the spirit of the season. Seeing their joy and excitement while exploring their spooky sides filled the day with laughter, connection, and festive magic. It was more than just a celebration – it was an opportunity for everyone to express themselves, socialize, and share in the Halloween fun in an inclusive, supportive environment. 🕸️🖤 We’re so proud of how our community came together to make this day special.

33. ABC School Trip - Paya Indah Wetlands

ABC school trip to Paya Indah Wetlands was a fantastic opportunity for exploration and learning.

The day began with an engaging tour of the wetlands, where students had the chance to observe remarkable wildlife, including rhinos and crocodiles. This hands-on experience fostered a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and environmental conservation.

Following our wildlife observations, students participated in a variety of activities designed to encourage teamwork and fun. The bubble play station was a highlight, filled with laughter as students competed to create the largest bubbles.

We also enjoyed a unique twist on traditional bowling with our coconut bowling challenge, which promoted physical activity and friendly competition.

To conclude our day, we gathered for a picnic in the serene surroundings of the wetlands. Sharing meals and stories provided a wonderful opportunity for students to bond and reflect on their experiences.

We are grateful for the memories created and the valuable lessons learned about nature and teamwork. We are looking forward to more enriching experiences in the future!

34. ABC Staff Training

It marks an exciting opportunity for us to enhance our ABA skills with the ABC staff! We started with a valuable mental health awareness workshop, discussing the importance of recognizing and supporting mental well-being in ourselves. This foundational understanding sets the tone for our work, emphasizing empathy and connection.

Following the workshop, we’ll focus on improving play skills through engaging activities that make learning fun. Our training will highlight instructional control and rapport-building to foster positive interactions and compliance.

We’ll also explore shaping techniques to develop new programs tailored to our kids’ needs. Let’s collaborate, share ideas, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of the children we serve. Here’s to a productive and rewarding day ahead!
